The Annual meeting was held on the 4th March. After the normal monthly business the election for President took place. The two tellers from Worlaby dealt with this and resulted in Mavis Reade being re-elected for the year 2015 to 2016. After business matters had been completed we all enjoyed a Fish and Chip supper, which Caroline had collected from Brigg. Thanks to Caroline for collecting them.
There is to be a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace on the 2nd June to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the W.I. The Duchess of Cornwall is to be the hostess. Joanna Parrott put her name forward.
Joanna and Helen have devised a calendar of future events for the year. These cover evening meals, afternoon tea, breakfast, films and many more suggestions. The idea is that members can look ahead and decided which events they would like to attend. The next one is a visit to Ropery Hall, Barton to see 'Animal Crackers', followed by lunch on Monday 23rd March at Harrisons, Barton and then on 2nd April we are hoping to have breakfast at Wetherspoons followed by time spent in Brigg. On Sunday 12th April some members hope to visit Doughty's Fabric Sale Roadshow at Dunholme Village Hall . On the 16th a visit to Hattie's Tearoom at Epworth for afternoon tea and a walk round Epworth and lastly for April on the 29th an evening meal at The Jolly Miller Wrawby.
